April 6-27
April’s exhibit is “Drew Morris: Photographs from New York 2008 to 2010″. This exhibit features photographs taken by Macon-native Drew Morris while living in New York City and includes two series: “Wall St.” and “Trainlines.”
Wall Street experienced economic turmoil beginning in October of 2008, and the series “Wall St.” is an investigation into the mood and atmosphere of the Wall St. environment during this hard time. “Trainlines” is a portfolio documenting people and structures underneath elevated subway lines in Brooklyn and Queens, New York.
Morris earned his BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. While living in New York, he also worked at Hasted Kraeuler Gallery, Time Magazine, and National Geographic Adventure magazine.
