The American Landscape
This exhibit features landscape paintings by Daly Smith, especially scenes from Macon as well as from around the United States. A frequent traveler, Smith is inspired by the landscape wherever he goes and often paints “plein air” (that is, painting outside, looking directly at the landscape). Using the vibrant colors of oil paints, Smith captures the contrast between sunlight and shadows in his peaceful scenes of trees, buildings, and rivers.

Join us Friday, May 3, 6-9 pm to see the new exhibit and meet the artist at an opening reception for the exhibit. The gallery is also open by appointment.
